About Me.
Zoë Lustri is 2x award-losing composer/songwriter based in Manchester, UK. She loves to write music and hates to write bios.
She began her life in music at the tender age of 5—writing classic hits about playtime and the struggles of parents telling you what to do.
Zoë's music aspires to answer an age-old question: "what if White Lotus, Euphoria, and Fiona Apple had a musical baby?"
In 2020, Zoë shocked the world when she released her debut single Something Good—a song that a random Indie blog once said "[sounds] absolutely great, but unfortunately I feel it sounds a little too commercial for my playlist." Something Good features strong vocals exploring introspective lyrics as a conversation on depression while giving a sonic palette that is both ambient, cinematic, and driving. Her productions have been labeled as both "too interesting for [her] vocals to hold up to" and also "outshone by the vocal delivery". According to one Instagram user, she "can't sing." Something Good was succeeded with EPs Down The River, Occult Sh*t (featuring Secrets, nominated for Best Producer at the 2024 Hollywood Independent Music Awards), and OST Rabbit Rabbit, nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award.
In a world feeling dystopianly mechanical, Zoë strives to keep her music distinctly imperfect, human, and a little bit weird.
She holds a Bachelor in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music, is a voting member of The Recording Academy, and proudly sits on the board of The Alliance for Women Film Composers, pushing for gender equity in film composing.
